Although the dialogue claims to be by Saint Francis, it is attributed to the theologian Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971).
Doctor Cabouli quotes the following saying, which he attributes to Buddha:

But the saying that is known is:

Doctor Christiaan Neethling Barnard (Wednesday, November 8, 1922 – Sunday, September 2, 2001), South African surgeon who, on December 3, 1967, implanted the heart of one human being into the body of another for the first time in the world.
